I agree there shouldn't be a mosque at ground zero, but is this light
hearted, almost jingle sounding piece of dung the best they could to
for the cause?

First, it's not a mosque, it's a community center that will have a prayer rooom, and second, it's not AT Ground Zero, it's three blocks away. If a Burlington Coat Factory is sacred ground, we're all in trouble, because that's where they're putting it. And if Ground Zero is sacred ground, why hasn't the building and/or memorial been built yet? They should concentrate on that before freaking out about a community center with a basketball court and a pool. You'd think that the mosque IN the Pentagon would be a worse travesty and NOBODY'S talking about that. They just want to have something to use as a wedge issue.

Jen, if you've seen the kick-ass jacket I got at Burlington, then you'd agree that it is indeed a sacred place.
But in all seriousness, I think that the controversey over that community center has been overblown by the media in order to (yet again) scare up ratings during an otherwise slow news period.
