BACK ON AIR...

Hey folks, Bill and I are launching a new afternoon drive show
on the east coast. It's actually a legendary FM Talker where we spent most of
the 90's before coming out to Detroit. New Jersey 101.5. We will be on
from 2 to 7 pm, Mondays thru Fridays. We're sorry to have to leave Michigan but
thrilled to have an opportunity not just to get back to work full time but for it to
be at a station that is one of very few left in the country that truly 'gets' it. A lot of my old co-workers are still there, my program director is a guy I've worked with before and respect and get along with well, so really this is great news for us.

The new show begins Tuesday July 5th. If you'd like to listen the stream is available at www.NJ1015.com 2pm to 7pm.

I have only a few days left in Michigan, and I want to say thank you. Collectively, and some of you individually, well, you changed my life. I consider you a friend even if we never met and I'll be eternally grateful for the friendship. Thanks for all the support especially through the terrible times of the past year and a half. Don't be a stranger!

Congrats to you and Bill! We are so very sad to see you go but so happy to hear that you guys will be able to go back to doing what you love and are amazing at doing! You guys will never be forgotten and we'll continue to listen to you via the internet. Sending you guys lots of "easy moving and settling in" vibes for you, Jack and Meena and also for Doyle's family.

2-7? Wow, long show, but that works great for me! I'll be able to listen to the last couple hours on my computer at home. You should get podcasts, that way I can listen to parts I miss!

Welcome back home Gentlemen!! I know it's been one hell of a ride. Michigan will miss you guys but I don't think anyone can really blame you for wanting to get out of here. Best wishes to you both. (I WILL be listening!)

That is awesome Jeff. I wish you and Bill the best. I'm glad that your show will be streaming. Any chance for podcasts that can be downloaded to iTunes? I know it may be too soon to know, but if you can do it, I'm sure the fans here in Detroit that can't listen to the stream would love to hear you on their i devices. Thanks for all the good radio that you and Bill did in Detroit, you will be missed.

This is AWESOME NEWS, Jeff! Of course, I'm disappointed you won't be in Michigan, but, honestly, I gave up hope on that a while ago. I'm just really happy for you and Bill. You have suffered for a long time and you guys deserve this chance to do great radio again.

Thanks so much for all the good times you brought to Detroit. Damn right I'll be listening to the stream! Best of luck, now go kick some ass.

PS--Remember: don't offer Super Bonus Points under any circumstances! ;-p

Sorry to hear that you and Bill are leaving Metro Detroit. Hopefully NJ will appreciate your talent, and you'll have a long and successful career there. Looking forward to listening to you via the stream. Best wishes!!!

Wow, I'm happy for you guys but bummed for us (the listeners here in Detroit). I don't mind you being out of state as long as I knew I still had a way to listen (without having to sit in front of a computer for 5 hours a day). Do they make global radios? Something like TIVO, but for radio? I'll have to look into it.

That's great news, Jeff! We've never met but I have always felt as if you and Bill were friends of mine. I will mark July 5th on my calendar (that's my son's birthday). I can't wait to listen to you gentlemen again on a regular basis. Detroit's loss is New Jersey's gain. Best of luck!

Thank God!
I live in a suburb of Philly and listened to your shows daily on 101.5 from 93 through 1999. (I just emailed you as well).
NO. I'm not a crazed stalker. I'm a professional in my late 40's and respect talk radio, particularly the genre and style you deliver. I've laughed and cried with the both of you and felt like I shared in the birth of your first child vicariously on-air!

I just found out about your return several hours ago and am, of course, extremely happy regarding this move. I already contacted EJ and thanked him and received a prompt reply. We're all excited about this event!

Be safe in your travels and God bless.

Jeff, my hubby and I have never met the two of you but you were a big part of our lives while you were on the air. Sad to say but we would arrange the most mundane chores like "weeding the garden" when we could run an extension cord back to the garden to make the task more enjoyable. When you switched air time....we switched what we did so we could stay put, get something done yet laugh with you guys while doing it. It will take a little more effort to make this happen again, but thanks to technology it can happen. We are truly happy for both of you even though it is bitter sweet that you are leaving us. You never made this town feel like you were here for the "job". You truely embraced us as fellow neighbors and friends. We will miss the both of you, but if you ever get a call from a 44 year old, weeding her yard, but calling your show.....just know, you are making a difference no matter what we are doing while tuned in!

Congrats to you and Bill! Though we are sorry you will be leaving MI, it is so great to hear you are finally getting a full time gig that you were meant for.

I know the last couple of years have been really hard on you guys. I hope the is the start of only good things for you both and your families. Hopefully you guys will be able to put up some podcasts so those of us who can't listen to the stream will be able to enjoy you guys doing what you do best!!

Good Luck and God Bless!!

Jeff & Bill, I am one of those silent friends that had listened from day one. Although the days of the two of you along with Rudy & Bill, I mean Beaver, may be gone, it is GREAT to see that somewhere in this land a very lucky audience will get to be entertained by two of the very Best. Best of luck to the 2 of you and mention us once in a while on the new show. I already have you locked into my android for the drive home.

Congrats on the job!! Glad to hear that you will be back on the air. My wife and I are very sad that it's not in Detroit, but wish you the best, for sure!! We used to listen to you on our way home from work -- in separate cars -- and talk about the show when we got home. One time, we both called in on the same topic, not knowing it until later.

Enjoy your new digs.

Just so people don't think that ALL the feelings towards NJ 101.5 are negative at the moment...here's a FB page that campaigned FOR the cancellation of the "Jersey Guys." If anyone listened to WKRK 97.1 back "in the day," you may have your own opinions about Casey Bartholomew - he was one half of the "Jersey Guys."

http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Boycott-NJ-1015-and-its-sponsors

Oh and "anonymous?" When you say, "i bet you wont post this," normally one would capitalize the word "I."

Are you flippin kiddin me!! You guys sucked back in the 90's and I always turned 101.5 off at 2 after the BEST talk show Dennis & Judy- still going strong today! They finally got rid of you for another great show- the Jersey Guys with Craig Carton (now doing sports talk on WFAN with Boomer Esiason). Now you are back, geez!! Hope you developed your craft before Detroit fired you.

i am a big time nj fan but listened in detroit as well. I can objectivly say they accomplished more in detroit then nj so far. they were big here, but bigger in detroit. Show was a bit different. I wonder if they will approach the show same as in the 90's or take a more detroit style approach. Thier fill ins over the last 18 months may have shaprped thier old "serious" talk skills they used way less in detroit.

Welcome back to KXW, guys. Was a long-time listener, and occasional caller back in the day (and former CE of the station back in the late 70s...fer crying out loud...in that facility on Ewingville Rd...now a religious station...) and things just weren't the same when you both left. Not that NJ has changed at all...if anything, the NJEA is still raping the population, taxes are too high, politicians are still grabbing their ankles for anyone with $$$ in hand...in short...NJ is what it is.

But, with you guys back behind the mics...I will be able to listen to the station again without wearing away my teeth.

Again, welcome back!!!!
